Wellbeing Clinic Joins Malu Health
Malu Health is pleased to announce that Wellbeing Clinic, a long-standing and highly respected psychology practice in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, will be joining the Malu network.
Founded in 2005 by Principal Psychologist Helen Brennan, Wellbeing Clinic has built a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, evidence-based psychological care to individuals, couples and families. Over nearly two decades, the clinic has become a trusted part of the local community, known for its commitment to matching clients with the right clinician and supporting meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Helen has led the clinic with a clear philosophy: that the therapeutic relationship is central to effective care, and that clients benefit most when treatment is tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. Under her leadership, Wellbeing Clinic has grown into a multidisciplinary team supporting a broad range of presentations, including mental health, relationship challenges, and family separation.

"In 2005 I founded Wellbeing Clinic with the dream of making it easier for clients to find psychologists who had a particular passion for the specific area of psychology the clients sought support in. It was the year before the Better Access Initiative under the COAG National Action Plan on Mental Health (2006–2011) began, a significant initiative that dramatically changed access to and uptake of psychological therapies. I was beyond fortunate to find a small team of trailblazing psychologists who shared my dream and took a chance to create our clinic, at a time when group practices were few and far between.
Over the 21 years, I have been humbled by those wonderful psychologists who joined our team and supported our aims of accessibility, excellence in psychological service provision and who have truly cared for our clients. I know I speak for our team when I say we continue to be awe of the many clients who have, with courage, trusted us with their mental health.
More recently, however, the challenges of managing group practices have increased. As with all small businesses, it can be difficult to be across all the aspects of business much less stay on top of the increasing demands in our sector. In what seems to be a full circle moment, I came across Malu Health, who, like me 21 years ago, aims to provide a better way forward in the mental health space. The more I learned, the more excited I was to be part of this incredible team who had the trailblazing spirit and the team to bring their vision in to being.
We are thrilled to have been welcomed into the Malu Health group. Joining a network of colleagues who share the same values and commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice and exceptional client outcomes means that our team can do more and be more! With access to network collaboration, shared expertise, resources, and professional development opportunities together with the backing of a supportive professional team enables our team to feel better supported whilst retaining the same dedication and continuity of care and ultimately deliver better outcomes for our clients.

Looking ahead
This next chapter will see Wellbeing Clinic continue to operate under its existing brand, with Helen remaining closely involved in the clinic’s ongoing direction and clinical leadership.
The partnership reflects a shared vision between Wellbeing Clinic and Malu Health: a belief in clinician-led care, strong clinical governance, and the importance of building sustainable, high-quality mental health services for both clinicians and the communities they serve.
By joining Malu, Wellbeing Clinic will gain access to national infrastructure, operational support, and a broader clinical network - enabling the team to focus more deeply on what matters most - delivering excellent care to clients.
